Booking an Appointment

Consultation Fees
Since 28 January 2019, all patients except DVA (Department of Veteran Affairs) Gold cardholders have been privately billed for consultations. This means there is a Medicare rebate but there is no bulk billing. DVA Gold cardholders will continue to be bulk billed with no gap to pay because we recognise their service to Australia.

The preferred method of payment is EFTPOS (savings/cheque). Visa and Mastercard credit card payments may attract a 0.5% surcharge. If you have registered your bank details with Medicare, your Medicare claim can be electronically transmitted and the Medicare rebate will be directly transferred to your bank account.

Reason for Change
From 2010 to 2020, the Medicare rebate for a standard GP consultation has on average increased by just $0.39 a year. At the same time, the costs of running a medical practice and providing high quality healthcare have increased at a faster rate. This is unfortunately not sustainable.
